Become a Psalmist

23rd July 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Become a Psalmist
In a recent blog from CCEF, Ed Welch describes listening to a friend speaking of the pain he is experiencing, the fears he faces and the regrets he has, and yet somehow he always returns to speaking of God’s faithfulness.  He comments that ,”I was listening to a psalmist.”

Because this is the pattern the psalms so often follow: pouring out feelings, frustrations, fears and doubts to the Lord and yet somehow finishing by expressing abiding faith in him.  And so he invites each of us to ‘become a psalmist’ in our own prayers.  Why not give it a go?  Perhaps you’re doing this already, without even realising it?

You can find the blog using this link: https://www.ccef.org/become-a-psalmist/?utm_source=CCEF&utm_campaign=069e8ce5e3-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2023_05_19_04_41&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-069e8ce5e3-[LIST_EMAIL_ID]&mc_cid=069e8ce5e3&mc_eid=f31c9f9199

Alternatively, you can go to www.ccef.org/blog/ where you will find this and other helpful blogs.

Yours warmly, in Christ,
Chris Hobbs (Senior Minister)
