We’d love you to join us at one of our special Christmas services this year!
This year we will be ‘unwrapping’ some favourite carols, reflecting on the words that we so often sing and how they point to the hope that Jesus offers.
Carols by Candlelight
Sunday 8th December, 10am at St Stephen’s, B29 7HU – All Age
A special Christmas service for children and grown ups and everyone in between! We will sing some Christmas songs, hear the Christmas story from the Bible and listen to a talk on the carol ‘O little town of Bethlehem’.
Sunday 8th December, 6pm at St Wulstan’s, B29 7DU – Contemporary
Familiar Christmas carols and readings in a contemporary style, a talk on the carol ‘O Holy Night’ and Christmas refreshments to follow.
Sunday 15th December, 6pm at St Stephen’s – Traditional
Traditional Christmas carols and readings, a talk on the carol ‘Hark! The herald angels sing’, and Christmas refreshments to follow.
Christmas Eve
4pm – Starlight Carols (for all ages) at St Stephen’s
This is a very short Christmas service (about 30 minutes), informal and interactive. Everyone is welcome but it’s particularly aimed at children (and their grown ups) who are under 10 years old. We will sing some Christmas songs and hear the Christmas story from the Bible including a talk on the carol ‘Away in a manger’.
11.30pm – Midnight Communion at St Stephen’s
A quiet and traditional service, by candlelight to welcome in Christmas Day, featuring carols and a short talk: ‘It came upon a midnight clear.’
Christmas Day
All Age Celebration with Holy Communion
10am at St Stephen’s
A lively and joyful celebration for all ages to mark Christ’s coming, with a short talk on the carol ‘O come all you faithful.’
