I'm New!

People Who Met Jesus

We are ordinary people, from a mix of ages and backgrounds, who know Someone extraordinary, Jesus Christ. During the month of March, we are inviting people to give church a try. Because above all, we want to introduce you to Jesus Christ.

You can join us at 10am at St Stephen’s (B29 7HU) or 6pm at St Wulstan’s (B29 7DU).

St Stephen’s is a bit bigger, with more of a range of ages, from young families to older members.

St Wulstan’s is smaller, with more students, and a more relaxed feel.

Why not give church a try?

What's Church Like?

Here are two short videos which will give you a taste of what you might find when you walk into church.

Each Sunday in March: ‘People who met Jesus’

We will ‘meet’ five different people who met Jesus and had their lives changed by him, discovering the life-changing implications for us today.

In these five encounters with Jesus in John’s Gospel we find him addressing some of the big ‘meaning of life’ questions: What is the world for? What’s wrong with it? What can make it right, and how? How can we be part of making it right? And where should we look for answers to these questions? Here we see how Jesus explained himself to people he met – and how their lives were changed by the answers to their questions.

1st March: The Insider (John 3:1-17)

We will see how a religious insider, Nicodemus, meets Jesus and finds himself on the outside.

8th March: The Outcast (John 4:1-26)

Here an unnamed woman, an outcast from her community, is offered lasting satisfaction through Jesus.

15th March: The Sceptical Student (John 1:43-51)

A sceptical student, Nathanael, is invited to ‘come and see’ Jesus, whom the whole Bible story points to.

22nd March: The Grieving Sisters (John 11:17-44)

Here Jesus comforts two grieving sisters, Mary and Martha and then raises their dead brother, Lazarus.

29th March: The First Christian (John 20:1-18)

We will see how Mary Magdalene becomes the first Christian as she meets Jesus, risen from the dead.
