Sunday Service and Other News
17th April 2020
Dear friends,
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”
1 Peter 1:3-4
Jesus’ resurrection meant life eternally for him, and it means life eternally for us too. Nothing can take that away; no one can steal it from us; it doesn’t wear out; no virus, no sickness, not even death itself can stop us from being with the Lord Jesus for ever in his new creation. I find that a great comfort in these strange times. I hope that you can join us online this Sunday as we listen again to God’s word and look to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus to give us hope!
Let me also encourage you to join us this Sunday at 11.30am on Zoom, whether you are able to watch the service before this, or at some other time. I know that some of us find it hard work to chat on Zoom, particularly if we are in break out groups with people we don’t know, but this is a good thing to help us know our church family better! Too often at church we can retreat into huddles with people we know and like, but during this unusual time the Lord is giving us all a wonderful opportunity to love all our brothers and sisters, (not just a few,) by getting to know and encourage them too. So grab a drink, make yourself comfortable and join us at 11.30am. I look forward to seeing lots of you there!
Sunday
Our Sunday Service will be available on the church website from 10am. This will include songs, an ‘All In’ slot, prayers, Bible reading and a talk on Psalm 16. Please feel free to share this link as widely as possible!

Face Masks
We still have a small number of face masks available. If you would like some, please phone or email Andy Martin and we will try to get them to you.
Brothers and sisters, let’s keep encouraging each other, keep picking up the phone to call one another, keep meeting together and, above all, keep pointing each other to our risen Saviour.
Where, O grave, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
Eternity is won for me
by heaven’s eternal king!
Yours warmly, in Christ,
Andy Martin (Associate Minister)
