Youth
“Partnering with parents and carers to help young people know Jesus and make him known.”
That’s the vision for youth work at SSSW! As a team of leaders, we aim to do this by:
- teaching Jesus from the Bible
- praying for the young people
- modelling Christian living as we meet together
- supporting parents and carers
We have two youth groups with weekly meetings during term time. We love welcoming new people, so please come along and see for yourself!
Pathfinders (Year 6 to Year 9)
Our Leaders are Tom, Sam, Christy and Chris.
Thursdays: On Thursday evenings at St Stephen’s, from 6.00-7.30pm, we meet for a fun evening including a short Bible talk.
Sundays: We come to the 10am service together. Most weeks we have our own group where we look at the Bible together and do fun activities related to what it says, but once a month we listen carefully to the Bible being taught in the church All-Age service.
Cross Section (Year 10 to Year 13)
Our Leaders are Tom, Mandy and Charlie.

Thursdays: We meet at 7:30pm at St Stephen’s, and finish at 9pm. We usually have food like doughnuts or toasties, chat and study the Bible together
Sundays: Some of us come to the 10am service, others prefer to come at 6pm. At the 10am service we meet roughly every other week and study the same Bible passage as the sermon is on in church. Lots of us are involved in serving in our services, for example in the music, tech and refreshments teams.

Summer Camps
These are a great time when we can go on holiday, meet young people from all over the country, do exciting new activities and learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow him.
Lots of us go together to summer camps run by CPAS Ventures: Quinta (for 11-14s) and Foremarke 3 (for 14-18s).
